John E. MacGregor Memorial Scholarship
This need-based scholarship was established by the family of John E. MacGregor in his memory, with the purpose of providing a scholarship to a Hamilton, New Miami or Ross High School student. Mr. MacGregor retired in 1989 after 29 years with the Black Clawson Company as a pattern maker and 12 years with Wangner Systems as a sales engineer. Mr. MacGregor served in the Merchant Marines in World War II and received the Purple Heart for service in the Korean War. His widow, Patricia Newman MacGregor, and he are the parents of four children, Marcia Schlichter, John A. MacGregor, Nancy Brockhoff and Christina Hackney.
