Donald Shilt Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1995 by Southwestern Ohio Steel,and formerly MISA Metals, Inc., in memory of their employee Donald Shilt, this merit-based scholarship supports Hamilton High School students wishing to further their education after high school. The student must have a 3.0 GPA and maintain this throughout college. The student must have participated in service to their school and community throughout high school as well as maintained their academics.

Impact

Since its establishment in 1995, the Donald Shilt Memorial Scholarship, in partnership with the Hamilton Community Foundation, has awarded more than $21,000 in scholarships to students pursuing higher education.
