David L. Stitsinger Memorial Merit Scholarship

This merit-based scholarship was established in memory of Mr. Stitsinger to support students pursuing a career in education. He was a graduate of Taft High School and received a B.S. in education from The Ohio State University. He received his master’s degree in education administration from Miami University. He was employed by Home Federal Savings and Loan for 18 years, where he had been named Interim CEO. He had been involved with many organizations in the community throughout his lifetime. He and his wife, Judy, have three children, Steven, Stacey and Kari. Mr. Stitsinger passed away on June 15, 1991, at the age of 47.

Impact

Since its establishment in 1996, the David L. Stitsinger Memorial Scholarship, in partnership with the Hamilton Community Foundation, has awarded more than $17,000 in scholarships to students pursuing a career in education.
